Matthew 18 21-35 New International Version (NIV)
21Â Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, âLord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?â
22Â Jesus answered, âI tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.[g]
23Â âTherefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24Â As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand bags of gold[h] was brought to him. 25Â Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt.
26Â âAt this the servant fell on his knees before him. âBe patient with me,â he begged, âand I will pay back everything.â 27Â The servantâs master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.
28Â âBut when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred silver coins.[i] He grabbed him and began to choke him. âPay back what you owe me!â he demanded.
29Â âHis fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, âBe patient with me, and I will pay it back.â
30Â âBut he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. 31Â When the other servants saw what had happened, they were outraged and went and told their master everything that had happened.
32Â âThen the master called the servant in. âYou wicked servant,â he said, âI canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. 33Â Shouldnât you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?â 34Â In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.
35Â âThis is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.â

Ephesians 2:8-9 New International Version (NIV)
8Â For it is by grace you have been saved, through faithâand this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of Godâ 9Â not by works, so that no one can boast.
Â
Romans 6 New International Version (NIV)
Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ
6Â What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2Â By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3Â Or donât you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4Â We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

Ephesians 2:4-8 New International Version (NIV)
4Â But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5Â made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressionsâit is by grace you have been saved. 6Â And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7Â in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8Â For it is by grace you have been saved, through faithâand this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of Godâ

Esther 2:16-17 New International Version (NIV)
16Â She was taken to King Xerxes in the royal residence in the tenth month, the month of Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.
17Â Now the king was attracted to Esther more than to any of the other women, and she won his favor and approval more than any of the other virgins. So he set a royal crown on her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.

âThree times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, â My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.â Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christâs power may rest on me.â2 Corinthians 12:8-9
Â
Point 1 - The CatalystâIn the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.âJohn 16:33
Point 2 - The FleshâWho of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?âLuke 12:25-31
Â
Point 3 - The PurposeâThe crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and the Lord tests heartsâProverbs 17:3
Point 4 - The SpiritâCount it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.âJames 1: 2-4
Â
Point 5 - The GraceâThree times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, â My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.â Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christâs power may rest on me.â2 Corinthians 12:8-9
Â
Godâs grace is sufficient because weâre not capable but we have access to heavenly resources to aid us in our fight to overcome the areas of our life that are weak.

1 Timothy 1:12-16 New International Version (NIV)
The Lordâs Grace to Paul
12Â I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service. 13Â Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. 14Â The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
15Â Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinnersâof whom I am the worst. 16Â But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.
